Information can be obtained in the main Hall "Lichthof" on 10.10.07 at 14.00 Uhr for freshmen on an introduction of the Online-Services at the University and information fair from 09.00 until 17.00 hours. There are 2 Mac-Books to be won!

- Mathematics Preparation Course (only in Winter Semester)
For "subjects" preparation, you can re-fresh your school knowledge here. The courses are conducted in the first week of the winter semester. - Orientation-week of the Council of Computer Science (only in Winter Semester)
The orientation-week will be organised by the third semester students for every first semester of the year. - Tutor-/Mentor programme
In all Bachelor's degree programme, students of the higher semester participate in this tutor programme so as to take care of the freshmen. In addition, each student will be allocated to a professor - Mentor to answer all questions and talk about the structure and organisation of the study.
You will receive all Information about your mentor during orientation-week.

All students of Leibniz University of Hannover has the possibility to have, an "@stud.uni-hannover.de"-E-Mail address, Internet access and Web space.
Computer rooms
There will be two computer rooms made available to computer science students which are administrated by Department of Simulation. You can register yourself for a transponder at the main building of the University, room number F 111 and F 411, so that you can have entry to these room with a transponder. Normally, you will need to gain the entry to the rooms for the course on "Programming (Scheme)" in the first semester.

Return of Transponder
If you do not need your Transponder for the study anymore, so you can return at "Studiendekanat" to claim your deposit back.
E-Learning at LUH
To teach and learn with the help of digital communication media, E-Learning includes all conceivable ways and possibilites. It offers innovative possibilities in conveying of knowledge and delivering new and creative forms of interaction between lecturers and students.
E-Learning can provide educational, organsational, strategic and economical advantages to lecturers and students. For e.g., the web-based self-learning offers for students, long-term available lecture notes, visualisation of complex academic facts or the use of mutli-media technology in courses.
The ELSA (E-Learning-Support-Abteilung) supports actively with a compact service in bringing the use of new media in the teeaching, which is the so-called "E-Learning". The following Learning plattform are available. For further information please refere to the service-corner.
Stud.IP
Stud.IP is the central learning management system of Leibniz University of Hannover. With Stud.IP, you can do countless things: to access courses and its materials, create time table and appointment calender, chatting, discuss in forums, exchanges of information with fellow classmates, create Wikis and yet several more.
